My new tennis crush

I love Nicolas Mahut.   He was the one that lost that super long match at wimbledon.  I first saw him a few years ago, where he was beaten in the Queens Club final by Andy Roddick.  Back then I took a fancy to his grass court fanciness, but I admit I hoped he's lose.  I was young and in love with the jock, who ended up marrying the swimsuit model (I know I have to stop reducing her to a just a swim suit model, she's also making a film with Jennifer Anniston and Adam Sandler).  Now I'm older and wiser and see the beauty in talent and sexiness in french-ness.  I also have a fondness for Mardy Fish, who just beat Andy Roddick at the Atlanta Open to reach the final, and he got to the final of Queens Club this year too (it's THE tournament for grass court loveliness).  Mardy lived with the Roddicks for a bit when they were younger, and he also married a model (she held up a box on the American Deal or No Deal, which raises more questions IMO such as, whats with models holding up the boxes, isnt it supposed to be unemployed losers? Anyway she's also an attorney, which raises the questions like is her practise really successful or unsuccessful if she can spend so much time standing around holding a box?)  Well now I love Nicolas Mahut (pronounced Nicola Ma-ooo, which is fun to say). As far as I know he has no model wife or girlfriend, although I have taken an active decision to NOT  look it up.
Great Britain, youll be pleased to know, won its last Davis Cup match to avoid relagation into sub-terrainean group or something, against Turkey.  A 5-0 white wash, which is nice and conclusive for new boy in charge Leon Taylor.  And all without a Murray.

Finals day

Currently watching Vera Zvonareva against Serena Williams in the Ladies Final, Im rooting for Vera obviously- serena is obnoxious, always nice for an underdog to win, Vera hitting partner/coach is one of the prettiest men ever, and she rocking the name Vera.
A lot of my faves went out early, and a lot like Safina and Demtieva didnt even arrive due to injury. But I have faith in the plucky russian.
Tomorrow Nadal takes on Berdych, Berdych beat Federer then Djockovic- which is a shame cos I wanted Djocko to win.  He has awsome comedy 70s cartoon hair.  And Nadal beat Murray yesterday, which the nation mourned, and I jollied.  Although did feel sorry for him that they interviewed him about 17 times after he lost (why did you lose andy? why why why?), ah leave the boy alone.
So the womens final interests me more, Nadals already won and Ive never been his biggest fan, and this Berdych fellas is a Mr Nobody to me.  Seems dull.
We'll see.
